In the early days one of the primary aims, as a practical expression of our Christian faith, was to take aid and medical support to those who had been displaced or were in great need. Alongside this, help was given to local people who were working daily in harsh circumstance to provide essential supplies, treat the sick and injured, help rebuild homes, improve facilities and educational opportunities.
Despite often very tragic circumstances visiting teams were always made so welcome by these lovely people and given hospitality from what little the Karen had. Today we continue to offer support in a variety of ways, by praying for change and particularly help and encouragement to the Karen ministry teams working daily to share God's love practically with tribes on the Thai Burma border.

A mission team from St Mary’s Church, Uffculme have recently returned from a trip to support the Karen people in the Thailand Burma border region. Due to Covid, this was the first mission trip for a number of years. Read More
