Attacks continue, and the need for urgent aid is still high. Already this year families have had to flee when fighting affected their homes:
In the last few days over 10,000 Karen people have been displaced and 0ver 6,000 have fled across the river border to Thailand as the Burmese military began air strikes and shooting raids in villages in the Karen state.
Innocent civilians and families completely unprepared for the attacks and have fled in panic taking what they can and fleeing across the Burma border.
We have received calls for aid and to provide food, blankets and urgent items to support the families who have fled.
We know this is Christmas time and many have also had a tough year financially with the effects of Covid but if you are able to help – every bit counts.
Sozolife team will be travelling to Maesot in the coming week to assist in delivering urgent aid to desperate families who have left everything behind.
We would like to provide as much as we can load in our trucks. Here is how you can help give (AUD)
$7 – 1 blanket
$9 – emergency food and sanitary pack
$42 – 20kg sack of rice
We are looking to take aid for up to 300 families
